Sydney Food Society is hosting an exciting new ‘foodie’ experience at the historic Sydney Fish Market on Saturday 12th January 2019, from 9am. This is a special, limited-run tour with only 1 date currently open, so book now to avoid disappointment!

Dubbed Fish and Tips at Sydney Fish Market, this interactive two-hour walking tour will take you behind the scenes of Sydney’s iconic Fish Market.

Alongside your friendly and experienced host Karyn, you’ll meet the friendly vendors of a variety of shops (not just seafood), learn how the Fish Market runs, where to spot the best produce, and of course, experience many amazing tastes.

This is a special opportunity to hear some interesting stories and uncover the history of Sydney Fish Market. You’ll even find out how the Dutch auction and buying system works!

Along the way, you will also be treated to food samples and can purchase produce and goods across a range of outlets, including a greengrocer, delicatessen, bakery, seafood vendors, butcher and boutique wine shop.

Karen will even have a free shopping bag for you and there’ll also be an important morning pit stop for coffee.

Please note that there will some walking involved on the day, so wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it, but the tour will be mostly undercover. You must have a pre-paid ticket to attend the tour.
